Book signing at Borders (14 February 2008)

Book signing at Borders

Aled Islwyn (left), Lewis Davies and I celebrated Valentine's Day by handing out roses and chocolates to customers at Borders, Cardiff, during a lunchtime signing. Many thank to Borders for hosting the event and to my publishers Parthian for all the arrangements.  We followed on with readings to a packed house at Chapter Arts Centre that evening.

Love and Other Possibilities (14 February 2008)

Other Useful Numbers is launched at 8pm at Chapter in Cardiff, also on Valentine's Day. I'll be reading (brief) extracts from my novel and chatting with Lewis Davis of Parthian about things Valentino - oh, okay, here's the blurb:

Parthian Books invites you to consider love and other possibilities by celebrating Valentine’s Day with readings from and discussion of three new titles: Other Useful Numbers by Cardiff-based Sarah Broughton is a moving and hilarious debut novel about love, dependence, disappearance and recovery. Welsh Book of the Year winner Aled Islwyn’s Out With It features contrasting tales set in the mental minefields of murder and manipulation, suicide and sex, desire and deceit. Love and Other Possibilities is a wonderfully witty collection of short stories by award-winning writer Lewis Davies that focus on the adventures of love and beyond.

Reading at Peppermintpatti (3 February 2008)

Sarah reading at ChapterTonight I did my first reading from my novel, Other Useful Numbers, at an evening hosted by Peppermintpatti at Chapter in Cardiff. A bit scary! But the audience - who were there to see The Mentalists and other female fronted bands- were attentive and very generous. Thank you!
